Water filtration with high dirt loads and high selectivity
The endless / vacuum belt filter suits high dirt loads. Its major advantage is the separation of solids in relatively dry form without much rinse water.
Liquid enters through a distribution plate.
The belt passes over the filter floor. Liquid flows through the cloth while particles remain. As the belt clogs, the liquid level rises.
The belt then advances a short distance and sludge is scraped off. Part of the belt is above the liquid, allowing dirt to drain.
After scraping, spray nozzles clean the belt; rinse water returns to the filter.
Capacity depends on dirt type and quantity, cloth mesh size and belt dimensions.
